Chef Profile: Marvin Agustin

Marvin Agustin is starting to become as well-known for his culinary achievements as he is for his acting.
Although he is, undoubtedly, one of the country’s finest actors, Marvin has long-nurtured a dream to cook for a living.  As he built a name in showbusiness, he also built on his dream of owning and running a restaurant.  Thus was born popular restaurants like Oyster Boy, Sumosam, Johnny Chow, John and Yoko Cosmopolitan Japanese Restaurant, and Mr. Kurosawa Euro-Japanese Restaurant.  As his businesses grew, so did his expertise in the kitchen, taking formal courses at the International School of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management, the Asian Institute of Management (Management of Arts Program), and Fundamentals of Culinary Arts under Professor Norbert Gandler.   Chef Marvin hosts a number of cooking shows on GMA 7, namely Kitchen Superstar, Knorr Realista Kitchen 101, Chef to Go, and a cooking segment on Unang Hirit.
